Major: Double major in Italian and English.
How did you decide on your major?
I originally was in the business school but later switched my goal to attending law school after graduation. I chose Italian and English because I think they will prepare me for the legal field and I enjoyed my classes in those subjects so much. I committed to the Italian major after a study abroad experience in Rome.
What is it about your chosen field (and the department) that appeals to you?
I was so impressed with every single professor I had in the Italian department. They care so much about students and I love that I get to walk away with the skill of speaking a new language.
Do you have a favorite class/professor within your major?
I really enjoyed Italian Literature II with Professor Scalia, Advanced Conversation with Professor Scala, and Walking in the Metropolis with Professor Baldi.
What are your favorite academic experiences outside of your major?
I took an astronomy class freshman year which was way outside of my interests but I ended up loving it.
What are your other Rutgers activities?
I am executive editor of the undergraduate law review, involved in the Prelaw Society, and I tutor for the Writing Program.
What are your plans following graduation?
This summer I will be visiting Rome and studying in Siena. Next spring I’ll be taking a course at Sapienza University in Rome. Fall 2023 I start law school!
