I am an Associate Professor of Italian at Montclair State University. I am currently working on a book that incorporates the fields of the EcoGothic, Italian Studies, and Critical Animal Studies. At Montclair State, I teach courses on Italian culture, language, and literature and Critical Animal Studies.

I am currently teaching Italian 5 Honors and AP Italian at East Brunswick High School. This is my ninth year teaching in East Brunswick and my 19th year teaching Italian. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to teach all levels of Italian from Kindergarten and preschool up to Honors and AP. I really enjoy sharing my passion for Italy and the Italian culture with my students.

Upon finishing course work and completing written and oral exams for doctorate at Rutgers, taught for two years at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. From 1969 to 2008 I taught at Byn Mawr College. I have fond memories of my years as graduate student at Rutgers, where I studied under the guidance of distinguished professors Cambon, Mariani, Pane, Guarino, Sinicropi and Chierici.
