RESEARCH INTERESTS
Italian Contemporary Women Writers, Science Fiction, Utopian Studies, Environmental Humanities.
Roberta Berlingò is a PhD student in the Italian Studies department, where she focuses on ecocriticism, graphic novels, science fiction, and postcolonial studies. She previously obtained a B.A. and an M.A. summa cum laude, from the University of Calabria. She is a language enthusiast and a passionate language teacher, bringing social justice and identity to the classroom. She has worked as a language tutor at the Language Center of the University of Calabria and contributed to the creation of an interactive e-book to learn Albanian in e-tandem with the University of Tirana. In 2019, she was a Fulbright grantee as a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, for which she taught Italian language and culture at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is a Teach For Italy alumna and participated in the Avanguardie Educative project.
